Varun serves as Chief Growth Officer of Kovitz. In this role, he is responsible for driving the creation and execution of the firms organic and inorganic growth strategies. Most recently he was at Focus Financial Partners where he was responsible for finding and acquiring Wealth & Asset Management Firms, and, providing strategic guidance to Focus’ portfolio of firms.
Varun has 15+ years of experience in the Financial Services industry having held strategy, M&A & finance centric roles at firms such as Deloitte, Capgemini, and, Guggenheim Partners. He also served as a COO for a high-technology manufacturing firm in the Package Printing industry, and Co-founded Velosportive, a sports promotion & awareness business to aid athletic recognition and growth in India. Varun received his Bachelor of Science degree from Loyola Marymount University and his MBA from Harvard Business School.
