Greg joined Kovitz in 2023 as Chief Investment Officer for the Family Office Services group. He is a member of the Core Equity and Open Architecture investment teams.

Over the course of two decades, Greg worked on and led teams that invested on behalf of institutional clients in emerging markets debt, U.S. corporate debt, and U.S. and international public companies of all sizes. This process involved leading hundreds of research meetings with corporate senior management teams and Wall Street analysts to evaluate the quality and potential undervaluation of the underlying businesses.

Most recently before joining Kovitz, Greg was a Co-Managing Partner and Portfolio Manager at Phaeacian Partners. Prior to that, he was a Managing Director and Portfolio Manager for First Pacific Advisors. Previously, he was also a Senior Research Analyst at Vontobel Asset Management. Greg has been featured in publications such as Barron’s, SmartMoney, Kiplinger, and Value Investor Insight. Greg graduated from Colgate University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History. He is a CFA® Charterholder.
